Embree Persiis, leader of Ceramic Insights
The Esalen Arts Center offers a variety of clay workshops in handbuilding, wheel throwing, tile making, and architectural and sculptural ceramics. Raku, kiln and pit firing are among the range of firing possibilities we offer. Our faculty is responsible for innovating new Raku techniques and the use of Big Sur native clays harvested directly from the mountains.
